Jeff

Jeff started riding bikes at eight when he found a stray bike at his Granny’s house and made it his own. Cutting his teeth on Bidwell Park in Chico fueled his need to go fast and left a taste for rocks and epic climbs. Jeff came late to the road biking side of life – but makes up for time not spent in the saddle by commuting 15 miles each way whenever possible.

Grooming ski trails, teaching mountain bike skills at Eagle Mountain Resort, working ten consecutive years and every position at the Sea Otter Classic, traveling the west to scope and mark course for the National Mountain Bike Racing Series, and developing the race series for the Northern California High School Race League – these are the building blocks of Jeff’s career in cycling. There was also the stint as “Chef Jeff” that many lucky mountain bikers will remember! After working with Bill and Claudia at Sharp Bicycles for years, Jeff now finds himself continuing their legacy at Stray Dog Bicycles.

Ryan Sharkey

You can find Ryan at the shop building bikes and being generally helpful in all ways. He is always to work on time and ready to help with a smile on his face.
Ryan graduated Rocklin High School in 2015 and plans on attending Sierra Community College and then moving on to Northern Arizona State University. Why Northern Arizona? Because of the trails! That’s why.

Ryan is a competitive swimmer and also played water polo for a few years in high school. When he was about 11 he got his first mountain bike – a Hardrock – for Christmas. Over the years swimming and water polo were jettisoned to make more time for biking. And now – you can track Ryan’s rides on Strava at least 4 times a week.
When Ryan is not working or biking, he likes to hang out with friends, go snowboarding or wake boarding, or hang with Addy, his 4 year old springer spaniel. Ryan’s top three movies are Interstellar, Inception, and Talladega Nights. Spaceballs is a little before his time, but still pretty funny.
